Who Am I?
My name is Ye Kyaw Tun, born in Hopin, Kachin State, Myanmar. I grew up as the youngest of five siblings in a close-knit family of seven, raised with deep family values by my father, U Tun Myint, a retired teacher, and my late mother, Daw Khin Nyunt. Growing up in a supportive household that instilled perseverance, integrity, and a continuous learning mindset laid the strong foundation for who I am today.
Driven by a strong passion for technical design and machinery, I pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Government Technological College, Mohnyin, graduating in 2015. Shortly after completing my studies, I relocated to Yangon to launch my professional career. I began as a Sales Engineer at WinOSHE Services, delivering technical safety product presentations and organizing safety training programs.
To deepen my hands-on technical expertise, I transitioned into HSE and factory operations—serving as a SHEQ Officer at UPG Paints & Coating, where I coordinated OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 compliance, and later as HSE Manager at Myanmar I-Tex Garment, overseeing site compliance, safety specifications, and incident management across major standards like BSCI, WRAP, and OEKO-TEX.
Building on my solid industrial safety background, I advanced into core mechanical engineering at Kirin Engineering Company (Myanmar Branch) for nearly four years. As a Mechanical Engineer, I managed complex machinery installations, supplier teams, CAD drawing updates, maintenance manuals, and system commissioning to minimize equipment downtime.
Currently based in Hyogo, Japan, I work as an Elevator Engineer at Gonda Industrial Co., Ltd., specializing in full-scale elevator modernization, drive machine and gear replacement, control panel integration, hoisting rope installation, and safety system testing. Alongside my site engineering work, I actively expand my technical capabilities into BIM/MEP modeling with Revit, web application development using Python and Flask, and cloud VPS deployment—exploring Industrial IoT (IIoT) protocols like PyModbus and MQTT to bridge physical machinery with modern smart automation.
